Fun at the Fiesta Bowl Parade
Happy New Year 2019 from the members of your WDEA Executive Board!
Our esteemed WDEA President Heather LaBelle and hardworking WDEA Secretary Lisa Love were pulling their own weight at the 48th annual Fiesta Bowl Parade. Their hands held tight to the rope of the Arizona Education Association balloon float that joined dozens of displays in the streets of downtown Phoenix on Saturday, December 29th. In addition to the thousands of spectators, LaBelle and Love were joined by additional AEA members (pictured left: Lisa, Heather, Sydney, Kyle and Roseanne) who bundled up for the cold winter temperatures to show their support for the AEA and the #RedforEd movement that made national news at the end of last school year 2018.
Keeping #RedforEd in the public eye and reminding all of the parade viewers that public educators are strong and will continue to ask legislators and the community to make the BEST decisions based on the needs of our students and staff. Thanks again to all of those who participated and watched this exciting event!
