Kathy Hoffman Visits Moon Mountain Elementary

On Thursday April 4th, Arizona’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kathy Hoffman, visited Moon Mountain Elementary to learn about the amazing opportunities available for WESD students.
Superintendent Kathy Hoffman was invited, by Barb Weber AEA Retired.  Kathy was taken on a tour where students, Principal Sue Brown, and teachers highlighted key school programs. Highlights included; a Team Meeting with the First Grade teachers and Speech Pathologists, a visit to the library to see STEM in action with “BeeBots”, and a visit with 6th graders as they shared portfolios and goals of their learning.  Superintendent Paul Stanton also visited as we shared our everyday life here at Moon Mountain.  Thanks Kathy Hoffman for stopping by and a big thank you to Barb Weber (AEA member) for the invitation.
What a special day to highlight the best of Washington Elementary School District and the students and staff at Moon Mountain.
